2023 saw us house 60 different comic creators under one roof. With the help of our crowd funders raising over £1,500, we were able to cover the cost for new ideas including a printed programme of the day’s events with a full list of our exhibitors. We were also able to hire BSL interpreters for all three of our talks. Speaking of which, we reached out to our community this year for talks to run alongside the market with some amazing and informative talks from Ed Firth, Nancy Art Music, and Pigeon. All these talks can be found on our YouTube channel.

This was our largest and busiest PrideCAF to date, setting a high bar for 2024.

2022 saw us expand our venue to hold more artists and creators. We had 42 creators along with The Order of Perpetual Indulgence and Abbeywood School Library. We welcomed again our guests from 2023 along with C. Bedford and Aruudlay who gave an amazing talk on taking your idea from planning to print. The atmosphere was amazing, even overhearing someone say “This is my happy place.”

We raised £228.83 in our raffle which will help with the runnings of future PrideCAFs and help us keep table costs low for creators and entrance free for everyone!

2021 was our first event on the 4th of September at The Station, Bristol. While still working with the restrictions and confusion of the COVID-19 pandemic, over 30 different creators joined us for the one-day event. The day was an amazing success with a large and eager crowd ready to support independent creators. The day also hosted talks from guests Joe Glass, Shazleen Khan, Wolfgang Crewe and Sarah Millman. With the success of this first event, it was decided to run again in 2022.
